TLDR: I’m a dreamer, an ideation machine, an empathetic human , a people-person, and a lifelong learner. Currently designing consumer electronics for the golf industry at a consultancy called Pixels Matter in San Diego. Previously, I lived in San Francisco and the midwest working at an international health and wellness corporation.

Long Version: I was born and raised in a working class suburb on the west side of Michigan in an area that is ripe with artistic culture and design appreciation. My interest in design started before I could talk with a fascination and obsession with my dad’s vast collection of LEGO and was further reinforced when I built an N- scale model railroad with my grandfather who worked as a professional model maker and photographer. Being in the heart of what was once the furniture capital of the world and a short distance from both Detroit and Chicago further nurtured my interest in manufacturing and industrial design.

My design process is organic and intuitive. I have a process, but I allow myself to adapt to the project, the timeline, the team that I’m a part of, and the needs of the person who will ultimately be using the product. I’ve led both industrial and UI design for launched products and I’ve also supported design teams in both in-house and consultancy environments. The products that I’ve designed are currently being sold in over thirty countries and across six continents. I have an understanding of not only what it takes to get a product to market, but how to design for a diverse, global audience.

I’m inspired by traveling, spending time in nature, playing my drum set, songwriting, experimenting with LEGO bricks, and soaking in documentaries about everything that I haven’t learned yet. I’m addicted to the fruit flavors of Calpico (if you know what that is then we’ll get along just fine), I have a soft spot for 80’s new wave, and I am currently attempting to inject some color into my mostly greyscale wardrobe.
